Genotyping for warfarin postinitiation: Is it worth the cost and hassle?

Thanks for your talk. Question:  this study would make more sense  if turnaround genetic testing + warfarin were less expensive than new oral thrombin and factor Xa inhibitors. Would you please comment on that? Thank so much for your contribution to my CME.

What advantages would a metabolomic approach to warfarin therapy provide in comparison to the genotyping.   There is some recent work on the published. This methodology provides a snap shot of the warfarin metabolites and an insight into the differences in metabolic breakdown of these anticoagulants from individual to individual.
