I am a critical care clinical pharmacist and I am looking forward to hearing about any proceedings from this summit that discuss the use of thrombolytics in cardiac arrest when suspiscion for PE is high.  We are putting together a protocol for treatment of acute PE at our institution and have reached a roadblock with the dosing to recommend for this situation.  The data is really all over the place and we are considering going with the alteplase 50 mg bolus x 1 that some other institutions use, but are looking for some evidence to back this up.  Does anyone have a recommendation for those patients who weigh < 70 kg when this approach may result in 1 mg/kg dosing of alteplase? I appreciate any input!
