Using electronic medical alert bracelets

Just as new technologies have revolutionized our daily lives, the adoption of electronic medical-alert bracelets—which carry important medical, contact, and insurance information—is an important step forward in patient care. We tag our pets; why not make better use of technology for our own well-being in case of emergency care?

Great idea! But the obvious (too obvious) next question is Why shouldn't all patients have this? If all dogs should be tagged, why not all patients? No more wasting time trying to fish for past medical history/medication lists from uninformed patients.  And why limit to just medical information? The iPhone we all carry around with us should just be implanted.
