Should cardiology be a freestanding specialty? How to complete training before becoming a grandparent? Is "resistance futile"? View this lively discussion and then share your thoughts with us!

Hi!

I am an Internal Medicine Resident in NJ and I would completely agree with Dr Nissen's comments regarding dissociation of Cardiology from Internal Medicine. Indeed in India we already have a 5 years DNB comprehensive Internal Medicine-Cardiology PG program offered by (for now) very selective institutes (as is a 5 yr Neurosurgery program straight out of Medical School). It only makes sense!
