Interesting fact about the nuclear boards

In this month's JACC Imaging, Manuel Cerqueira et al reveal an interesting fact about the CBNC Nuclear Board Exam (which starts in 1 week!) that I could not find corroborated anywhere else -- but, hey, it's published in a peer-reviewed journal, so this info must have been vetted.

 

"the examination [consists] of approximately 175 questions...[passing] usually requires a correct response to 124 to 130 questions." MD Cerqueira et al. JACC Imaging 1(6):801-8, 2008.

 

That means you need to get at least 71-74% correct to pass.

CBNC examination was at length and covered most of the aspects of nuclear cardiology.The examination is fast becoming an important signpost for cardiologist’s world over for further adornment to their existing qualifications.
