With noninferior efficacy out to one year, the mitral-clip looks promising though surgery remains preferential. What are your thoughts? Will this novel device change the rules for valve repair or replacement?

I have two questions...

In the presence of Atril Fib. does this procedure still work...

My second questions would be, is there is a possibility of fluffing off of  the coating to cause a potential stroke? I remember the Star Edwards valves that the Dacron started to come off along with the partial endotheliazation.

Would this device also endothelialize over time?
