Michael O'Riordan is a medical journalist for heartwire. He once drove through the night from Chicago to New Orleans to attend the American College of Cardiology scientific sessions after a disastrous day filled with flight cancellations and missed connections. He has worked as a freelancer and medical writer for both journalism and industry publications. Prior to joining heartwire, Michael worked for WebMD Canada. Michael was born and raised in Toronto and studied at Queen's University in Kingston and the University of Toronto. He recently completed a master's degree in Journalism at the University of British Columbia, specializing in medical reporting. He is based in Toronto.
